The last two weeks of June, we spent the early afternoons at the community pool where Max had swimming lessons. We signed-up with a few friends and after the lessons we would all hang out at the kiddie pool for a couple of hours. My boys managed to shut down the pool twice and everyone had to evacuate. Once for throw-up and the the second for a mess out the other end. Gross, I know, but at least it was my kids mess and not some other kid's, that would have been really disgusting.
Eden loved the pool! She really enjoyed splashing and watching the other kids play. The time at the pool was a welcome relief as I was in the thrust of yucky morning sickness and didn't have much energy to find things to do to entertain the kids. It was also nice to hang out with the other moms.
I was really pleased that Max decided he would take the plunge this summer and actually participate in the swimming lessons. We had tried lessons the summer before, but he was much too timid to get in the water without my joining him. He took to the water like a fish and had a great time. It was fun to watch him trying his best and see his enthusiasm for swimming grow.
